Jessica Easterling is an Ohio Certified Peer Recovery Specialist, OMHAS Certified Peer Recovery Support Training Facilitator, and Certified SMART Recovery Facilitator. With an educational background in Psychology and Communication at Kent State University, she also has experience in small business development as she established and managed a popular web-based boutique. She is a person in long-term recovery with an extensive history in local community service as a recovery and harm reduction advocate, leading a movement to connect at risk individuals with harm reduction resources and helping to successfully advocate for a local Project DAWN and Quick Response Team.Jessica helped develop the Portage County Chapter of OhioCAN (Change Addiction Now) and played an integral part in the development of the Peer Recovery Specialist role as an employee at Family & Community Services Inc. Jessica has founded and developed Open United Recovery Place, as a grassroots, peer-led movement, building programming and community investment from the ground up.
