Evan FaidleyDIRECTOR OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS
AND MEMBERSHIP ENGAGEMENT As he pursues his doctorate, Evan will be serving as the graduate assistant to the Division of Graduate Studies, working with students in advanced degree programs on career orientation and organization programming. Evan also serves as an assistant lecturer of French at the University of Akron. His areas of interest are: career development (advising and counseling), narratological semiotics in the analysis of French semantics and pragmatics, the integration of life-designing into academic advising, and the internationalization of higher education. In 2016, Evan served as a delegate to Kent State as an international participant at the UNESCO Conference on Lifelong Guidance and Counseling at the University of Wroclaw, Institute of Pedagogy in Poland, as well as at the National Conservatory of Arts and Crafts, National Institute of Studies in Work and Career Counseling in Paris, France. As a delegate, Evan brought new structure and information on how Kent State University effectively implements the life-design framework into curriculum to undergraduate, Exploratory students. With his experiences in working with Exploratory students, Evan has been able to bring about meaningful reflection and conversations on family values, career decision-making, and action planning. |
